Get fit now! Eat whatever you like! Exercise just 3 minutes a day! Who are they kidding? Forget the fads. Focus on gradual and on-going healthy habits. The adjustments to your eating and exercising I suggested in the last couple of entries might not provide the lightening quick change and minimal effort some of my more excitable industry peers offer in their advertising/advice columns, but the change will be real and long lasting. Years from now you will look back and be happy you made the commitment to your health. Let’s reiterate the steps for long-term fitness success: • Find a form of exercise you enjoy. • Do it regularly. • Make changes to your eating habits that you can live with. • Stick to them. Lose weight, increase muscle tone, improve mood, be more productive, sleep better, live better, longer. Simple. I really hope you take this advice to heart. Remember, in order to see change we have to make change. Nothing comes for free, but commit to a plan based on these steps and you will succeed. |
